Abstract
Axial buckling of stocky current-carrying nanowires in the presence of a longitudinal magnetic field is of particular interest. Using Timoshenko and higher-order beam theories accounting for surface energy effect, the governing equations are derived and a meshfree methodology is applied to evaluate the buckling load.
