Abstract
⺠The temperature for the solid-solid phase transition in certain II-VI alloys is predicted. ⺠The binary solids are modeled as a solid solution. ⺠Chemical potentials for each phase are developed with activity coefficients. ⺠The quasi-chemical model is used to compute the activity coefficients. ⺠Equating the chemical potentials leads to an estimate or the transition temperature.
