Abstract
⺠Electronic structure of graphene absorbed by Pt atoms was calculated using DFT-LDA method. ⺠When Pt atoms are linearly adsorbed on graphene along the zigzag direction, Pt-adsorbed graphene possesses a flat dispersion band. ⺠Properties of the flat dispersion band have the same characteristic as the edge states in graphene nanoribbon with zigzag edges. ⺠The flat dispersion band induces ferromagnetic order in graphene absorbed by Pt atoms.
