Abstract
⺠The PL properties of Gd(BO2)3 and Gd(BO2)3 activated with Eu3+ are investigated. ⺠The energy transfer phenomenon from Gd3+ to Eu3+ ions can be drawn from the spectra. ⺠Concentration quenching phenomenon does not happen. ⺠The decay curves of Eu3+ emission change from single exponential to non-exponential, and the lifetimes decrease. ⺠The decreasing lifetimes of Gd3+ emission dramatically confirms energy transfer from Gd3+ to Eu3+ efficiently.
