Abstract
Silver-modified silicon nanowires were obtained and employed as catalysts in the decomposition of fluorescein sodium using sodium borohydride (SB) as a reducing agent. Their decomposition rate enhanced ca. 6 times compared to that of unsupported Ag nanoparticle catalysts, which demonstrated the excellent catalytic activity of silver-modified silicon nanowires.
