Abstract
Inelastic neutron scattering and magnetization measurements were performed on a geometrically frustrated system MgCr2O4MgCr2O4 using both single crystals and a powder sample. We observed QQ-space distribution of magnetic diffuse scattering in the spin liquid phase, coexistence of magnetic Bragg peaks and magnetic diffuse scattering in the H-phase and a magnetic excitation with ℏω=4.7meV in the L-phase, respectively. By the magnetization measurements with sample rotation, anisotropic susceptibility and reversible symmetry were obtained, which suggest the change of local magnetic structure in the magnetic field.
