Abstract
Hierarchical Fe2O3/SnO2 hollow heterostructures with different size are synthesized to study the mechanism of formation of hierarchical hollow structures and to investigate the effect of 3D assembly nanostructures on photocatalytic degradation of organic pollution. The results indicate these hollow heterostructures exhibit much higher photocatalytic activities for degradation of methylene blue in comparison with that of pure α-Fe2O3 hollow structure in the wide spectral region.
