Abstract
This study demonstrated the co-catalysis effect of relatively larger Ag nanostructures of different shapes than TiO2 for its improved photocatalytic activity during salicylic acid and benzoic acid degradation under UV light (125 W Hg-arc lamp, 10.4 mW cmâ2) irradiation. The co-catalytic ability of Ag is found to exhibit as polygonal nanosphere > nanorod > truncated triangle > small nanosphere relative to bare TiO2 photoactivity.
