Abstract
⺠The optimal processing conditions for Al-15Si-2.5Cu-0.5 Mg(wt%) has been determined. ⺠Nitrogen atmosphere was the most efficacious sintering atmosphere. ⺠Pore swelling effect occurred due to the decomposition of MgH2.. ⺠Microstructural evolutions at different sintering temperatures were investigated.
