Abstract
⺠New mixed-metal garnets powders were synthesized by sol-gel process. ⺠YACRG, YAMNG, YANIG and YACOG proceed only within narrow substitutional range. ⺠The limitary radius of garnet structure compounds was calculated. ⺠New garnets doped with lanthanides are potential raw materials for luminescence.
