Abstract
⺠Diffusion of chlorides into reinforced concrete is the leading cause of corrosion. ⺠Accelerated tests ions for surface-treated concrete specimens have strong limitations. ⺠Ions are cumulated at the interfacial region and distort the electric fields. ⺠Our numerical Nernst-Plank-Poisson formulation solves these limitations. ⺠Predictions compare well with experimental data.
