Abstract
► Nickel phosphorus composite coatings NiP-talc particles are developed. ► The content of particles increase with talc content of the bath and are distributed randomly on the coatings. ► A significant decrease in rigidity is observed by adding small amounts of particles of talc. ► The toughness increases with the insertion of talc when the deposit is heat treated at 420 °C ► Rough or heat treated at 600 °C deposits have a ductile behavior unlike the treated at 420 °C deposits.
