Abstract
⺠We produced SiC fibers reinforced ZrB2 using different sintering aids. ⺠The sintering additives affected properties, oxidation and machinability. ⺠The system containing Si3N4 had the highest mechanical properties. ⺠The composite containing MoSi2 had the highest oxidation resistance. ⺠ZrB2-SiC fibers have higher thermal shock resistance than ZrB2-SiC particles.
