Abstract
⺠Combustion synthesis reactions were utilized for welding of aluminum alloys. ⺠A composite joint reinforced by different intermetallic compounds was obtained. ⺠Using metal oxides as a part of raw materials makes the welding process economical. ⺠Furthermore, this process introduces new applications for thermite reactions.
