Abstract
⺠Toughened sPS/clay nanocomposites were prepared. ⺠The crystallizability of sPS decreased with the additions of clay and the tougheners. ⺠The presence of clay and tougheners facilitated the formation of α-form sPS crystals. ⺠The tougheners greatly increased the impact strength of the nanocomposites.
