Abstract
⺠GdVO4:Eu3+ powders were hydrothermally synthesized in a wide pH range. ⺠GdVO4:Eu3+ formed as a single phase at pH < 13. ⺠Morphological transformation of GdVO4:Eu3+ occurred by altering the pH. ⺠Luminescence properties of GdVO4:Eu3+ were significantly influenced by morphology. ⺠Octahedron- and rod-like GdVO4:Eu3+ crystals present the strongest luminescence.
