Abstract
A novel microflower-like superhydrophobic epoxy resin surface was obtained using a novel method. The water contact angle and sliding angle of the superhydrophobic epoxy resin surface was 158 ± 1.7° and 3°, respectively. The as-prepared microflower-like superhydrophobic epoxy resin surface also showed superhydrophobic property in the pH range of 3–14. After being stored in ambient environment for one month, no decrease in water contact angle was observed.
► A novel microflower-like superhydrophobic epoxy resin surface was obtained by a novel method. ► The presented preparation method is very facile. ► The microflower-like epoxy resin surface shows superhydrophobicity in the pH range of 3–14.
