Abstract
► NiO films were fabricated directly by the one-step electrophoretic deposition. ► Co-deposited metal layer acted as the conducting binder to bind NiO particles. ► Conducting binder provided more active sites on the NiO surface for redox reactions. ► Conducting metal layer enhanced the capacitive behavior of the NiO film.
