Abstract
⺠With addition of acetic acid, corrosion scale becomes looser and sheds off easily. ⺠Cathodic reaction is enhanced by the reduction of un-dissociated acetic acid. ⺠Dissolution of Cr dominates the anodic process in solution with no acetic acid. ⺠Dissolution of Fe dominates the anodic reaction in solution with acetic acid.
