Abstract
► The Cu-1.6wt%TiB2 alloy has been prepared by combining mechanical alloying and heat treatment. ► The relationship between microstructure, property, kinetics was investigated. ► The distribution of TiB2 particles closely follows the theoretical prediction. ► The in situ reaction models between Cu-B and Cu-Ti alloy micelles were also established. ► The yield stress increment of Cu-TiB2 alloy was predicted.
