Abstract
⺠We produced nanoporous alumina templates by two step anodization. ⺠The effect of etching procedures on the templates was studied. ⺠The pores are more circular when electropolished aluminum is anodized. ⺠Etching procedures completely remove the barrier layer at the Al2O3/Al interface.
