Abstract
⺠This research was to conduct compositional exploration by doping the Pb(Zr,Ti)O3 system with Bi-based ceramics. ⺠The identifying compositions with the enhancement of tetragonality and TC was in order to fully characterize the trend in the actuation character in the PZT-5BZT and PZT-5BF compounds. ⺠In the PZT ceramics the ferroelectric tetragonal phase was enhanced by the increase in Ti concentration from 48% to 100% and by the doping of Bi-based ceramics. ⺠It was found that by doping of PZT system with Bi(Zn0.5Ti0.5)O3, and BiFeO3 ceramics, the Curie temperature can increase beyond that of pure Pb(Zr1âxTix)O3 at x â¥Â 0.7. ⺠The tetragonality (c/a) is enhanced by doping with Bi-based perovskites.
