Abstract
The KGd1âxEux(WO4)2 nanocrystals were synthesized by the modified Pechini method. Their structure was determined by using X-ray diffraction measurements. It was found that increasing annealing temperature from 650 to 800 °C the averaged size of nanocrystals increased from 23 to 53 nm, respectively. The excitation, luminescence spectra and decay times of Eu:KGd(WO4)2 (KGW) nanocrystals were measured. The effect of grain size on luminescence properties of Eu:KGW nanocrystals was observed.
