Abstract
The kinetic viscosity (η) of AlNiPr(Si,Cu) superheated melts has been measured by an oscillating crucible method in temperature range from melting temperature up to about 1500 K, and the temperature dependence of the viscosity is discussed in the framework of Arrhenius models. Superheated fragility parameter was deduced from Angell's fragility concept and super-Arrhenius equation. It is found that there is a good correlation between the superheated fragility and glass-forming ability. The resultant relationships of the correlation are also discussed.
