NaLaTi2O6 nanosheet was achieved by one-step hydrothermal method and was reported for the first time as an anode material for lithium ion batteries. The phase structure and morphology analysis reveals that pure pervoskite NaLaTi2O6 possesses nanosheet morphology with thickness of about 20 nm and length of several hundred nanometers. The electrochemical performances demonstrate that NaLaTi2O6 has a good lithium ion insertion/extraction ability with a discharge capacity of about 180 mAh/g, which is slightly larger than Li4Ti5O12 theoretical capacity (175 mAh/g). Even more, after 1000 charge-discharge cycles at 100 mA/g, it still maintains a discharge capacity of 165 mAh/g, suggesting that NaLaTi2O6 could be explored as a potential anode material for lithium ion batteries.
