Abstract
M-type Sr0.61−xLa0.39CaxFe11.7Co0.3O19 ferrites with various calcium concentrations (x = 0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3) were prepared through microwave calcining. The microstructure, morphology and magnetic properties of the samples were evaluated by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microstructure and vibrating sample magnetometry, respectively. Results showed that more Fe3+ ions were substituted by Co2+ with the increase of calcium substitution, which suppressed the formation of the impurity phases to improve the magnetic properties. The coercivity and saturation magnetization of the samples with the composition of Sr0.61−xLa0.39CaxFe11.7Co0.3O19 can be remarkably improved when x = 0.2.
