Abstract
Electrical transport characteristics of the bulk and interface of Nd0.7Sr0.3MnO3 ceramic/Ag-electrode have been investigated using direct currents (DC) method. Remarkable magnetoresistance (MR) and electroresistance (ER) effects, which are significantly different from that of bulk, can be induced by an external magnetic or electric field at the interface. The transport behaviour is the same in principle for bulk and interface but slightly different in the activation energy above the metal–insulator critical temperature. The MR and ER of interface component are discussed based on a magnetic Schottky barrier.
