Abstract
⺠Se was synthesized via a novel and facile pathway. ⺠The morphologies and the crystalline phases of Se can be easily controlled. ⺠Tyrosine is excellent reducing agent and soft template for the synthesis of Se. ⺠It is possible to provide an excellent route to obtain nanomaterials.
