Abstract
The present commercial available Zn2SiO4:Mn2+ phosphor requires further improvement because of its long decay time. In this work, the co-doping effects of Mg2+, Ba2+, Ti4+ and Al3+/P5+ upon emission intensity and decay time were investigated. These ions have favorable influences on the photoluminescent properties of Zn2SiO4:Mn2+. When doped with appropriate amount of Mg2+ and Al3+/P5+, the intensity of green emission was increased evidently and the decay time was shortened. When doped with appropriate amount of Ba2+ and Ti4+, the luminescence intensity was enhanced and the decay time was shortened efficiently.
