Abstract
We synthesized a new type of alkaline electrolyte membrane by use of aminoethylaminopropylmethyldimethoxysilane via sol–gel technique. The ionic conductivity of the membrane was estimated to be 1.0 × 10−4 S/cm at 80 °C from AC impedance method. The power density of the fuel cell was 7.6 × 10−4 W/cm2 while the current density was 2.2 mA/cm2 at 0.35 V of potential when the cell was kept at 40 °C.
