Abstract
Vanadium dioxide nanorod B phase with high purity and crystallinity was synthesized by using the crystalline V2O5 as precursor and benzylamine for the first time as reducing agent via hydrothermal method. The structure and morphology of the sample were characterized by scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, X-ray powder diffraction, thermal analysis and infrared spectroscopy. Regularly sized nanorod B phase VO2 is about 20–100 nm wide and up to 2.5 μm long.
