Abstract
The microstructures and microwave dielectric properties of a novel temperature compensated composite ceramics (1 − x)(Na0.5La0.5)TiO3 + xCeO2 added with 1 wt.% CuO were investigated. Dense and mixed phase samples were produced in the range of 0.1 ≤ x ≤ 0.9. As x value increased the unloaded quality factor increased nonlinearly while the dielectric constant steadily decreased almost linearly by compensation effect. The temperature coefficient of resonant frequencies was remarkably reduced with the increase of CeO2 and the compensated τf value was obtained in 0.1(Na0.5La0.5)TiO3 + 0.9CeO2 + 1 wt.% CuO ceramic with the Qf and ɛr being 8240 GHz and 32.0, respectively.
