Abstract
The paper presents an attempt to estimate the parameters of Jiles–Atherton description of magnetization process. The approach relies on direct search of solution space in order to minimize the error between the measured and the modelled hysteresis curves for quasi-static conditions. The obtained model parameters are then used to predict dynamic hysteresis loops. The proposed algorithm is able to omit the local energy minima. The effect of eddy currents is considered by introduction of an additional component of field into the Jiles–Atherton equation. The validity of the approach has been proved for dynamic hysteresis loops of a nanocrystalline material Fe73.5Cu1Nb3Si13.5B9.
