Abstract
Polymeric chelates of azelaoyl bis-p-chlorophenyl urea (AZPCPU) with Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II) ion have been synthesized and characterized. In the present study the ligand AZPCPU shows bidentate character and coordinates symmetrically with metal takes place through nitrogen and oxygen. Thermal data have been analysed by Freeman–Carroll and Sharp–Wentworth methods and various kinetic and thermodynamic parameters have also been evaluated. Comparable values of parameters indicates common decomposition reaction mode in all chelate polymers.
