Abstract
Cadmium tungstate (CdWO4) nanoparticles and nanorods have been successfully synthesized by a molten salt method at 270 °C, and the morphology of the nanocrystals can be controlled by adjusting such reaction conditions as the calcined time and the weight ratio of the salt to the CdWO4 precursor. The resultant sample is a pure phase of CdWO4 without any other impurities.
