We proposed a scheme to manipulate the single qubit as the superposition of two atomic ground states in a large detuned three level Λ system using double fractional stimulated Raman adiabatic passages. This single qubit evolves mainly through two high efficient passages: a dark passage and a bright passage. Then we show the demonstration of witnessing the model independent quantumness with properly designed laser sequence according to the real experiment system of cold 87Rb atomic ensemble. Finally, we discuss the effects of dephasing, laser noise and detection noise on the quantumness witness through numerical simulations.
