Abstract

We have studied the influence of interaction and coupling of localized surface plasmon (LSP) on the transmission peak and resonance frequency of compound structure metamaterials. It is found that the longitudinal interval (L) between metal particle and rectangular holes arrays has an important influence on the interaction and coupling strength of LSP modes of the designed compound structure. Results indicate that the reduction of transmission peak and red-shift of resonance frequency of the designed compound structure can be modulated through increasing the interaction and coupling strength of LSP modes.
