Abstract
It is shown that the correlation function of scattering potential of random medium can be determined by utilizing a monochromatic Gauss vortex beam radiated from a planar source. The determination can be achieved provided that the scattering angle between the spatially drifted dark spots in scattered field and the initial one is obtained. The principles for the determination as well as the applicable scopes for the proposed method are demonstrated.
