Abstract
In this paper we study spiral zone plates with amplitude, phase and binary amplitude transmittances. Fourier transforms of these transmittance functions which are useful in derivations involving propagation, imaging and spatial filtering are derived. Using these Fourier transforms, the spatial filtering properties of these zone plates are presented and compared with a pure radial Hilbert mask.
