Abstract
► Ba3Si6O12N2:Eu2+ could be efficiently excited by UV-blue light and showed a single intense broadband emission (470-625 nm). ► Resonant energy transfer between Ce3+ and Eu2+ occurs in the Ba3Si6O12N2 phosphor. ► Emission intensity of the Ba3Si6O12N2:Eu2+ phosphors is enhanced by co-doping with Ce3+.
