Abstract
A constant-magnet apodizing diaphragm based on the Faraday effect has been constructed and studied in the experiment. The characteristics of the device have been compared with available analogs. Possibilities of using different magnetoactive media and wavelengths aimed at improving characteristics of the diaphragm are assessed.
