Abstract
A continuous-wave (cw) 937 nm Nd:GYSGG laser based on the quasi-three-level transition 4F3/2 to 4I9/2 is reported. The output power of 0.80 W at 937 nm is achieved with the pump power of 8.2 W, corresponding to the conversion efficiency of 9.8%. The variation of output power and pump threshold with increased working temperature is also studied, which demonstrates the deterioration operation because of the serious reabsorption in a quasi-three-level Nd3+ doped laser.
