Abstract
► We examine the spatio-temporal evolution of laser-induced plasma (LIP) in the stage of laser pulse action. ► We discuss the laser energy deposition in the laser-plasma interaction. ► We employ the spectrally resolved imaging technique to characterize the plasma at the front-on observation. ► Based on Stark broadening, we perform the Voigt line profile fitting model to calculate the electron density and temperature of LIP.
