Abstract
⺠We theoretical investigate single-frequency Raman fiber amplifiers (SF-RFAs). ⺠The output powers of SF-RFAs are limited by Stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS). ⺠A combination of methods is proposed to increase the output powers of SF-RFAs. ⺠They include suitable pump scheme, short fibers, multiple-stage and SBS suppression.
