Abstract
⺠ODI is cascaded after SOA to compensate for chirp imposed on amplified RZ data. ⺠Very good agreement between model's and experimental results for SOA response. ⺠Pattern effect suppressed for chirp and amplified pulses despite tight parameters. ⺠Inserted time delay must be close but not exceed 10% of the bit period. ⺠Promising option for exploiting SOA chirp and using together SOA as gain block.
