Abstract
It is shown that the entanglement and the purity of corresponding density operator of two initially entangled qubits passing through the separate cavities can be controlled by the mode structures of the electric fields sustained in the cavities. Cavity mode structure can be used as a controlling parameter to realize the quantum gate operation and in preparing graph states.
