Abstract
► Electromagnetic angular momentum (AM) is defined newly so that it satisfies the duality transformation. ► New vector potential is introduced into the AM. ► Torque equation for new AM is applied to optically active media and planar anisotropic media. ► Validity of new AM is shown.
