Abstract
⺠Investigation of the synchronization phenomenon of coupled laser systems exhibiting spatiotemporal chaotic regime has been performed. ⺠Interesting facts revealed throw remarkable insights into the system which has been applied in cryptography using colored image. ⺠The study and the application of synchronization properties is a novel attempt and motivate a new line of research in secure communications. ⺠Results highlight the merit of the scheme in resistant to major statistical threats.
