Abstract
⺠Splitting and sharing of secret information among a group of parties such that none of them can completely re-construct the secret information by themselves is a common requirement in many sectors. ⺠The amalgamation of principles of quantum mechanics and classical secret sharing has given rise to ”quantum secret sharing” which provides unconditional security for the splitting and sharing of secret information. ⺠In this manuscript, we provide a number of schemes to split quantum information among k parties using a N-qubit linear cluster state as a quantum channel. ⺠The original information can be reconstructed only if all the parties cooperate. ⺠The main advantage of this scheme, compared to the previous known schemes, is that it requires lesser number of 'qubits' and the resource used (cluster states) have been physically realized, making this scheme suitable for experimental realization.
