Abstract
We experimentally demonstrate an original way based on cross-phase modulation process to suppress stimulated Brillouin scattering in a fiber optical parametric amplifier (FOPA). The setup is potentially less expensive than conventional electrical modulation schemes, and good performances are reported in terms of amplification quality and high gain value.
